Is there a way to merge two clips together in Vegas 7?
To make them one clip without any slices.

    Here is my situation.
I had to cut a snippet of a video and as a result I get a slice point. I need to overlay an audio clip over the top of that slice point. But I can’t do that without half the clip being covered over by the next one in line. So I need to slice to disappear.

Render to new track. That will “freeze” the two clips together, and you won’t suffer any loss of quality if you don’t have filters applied to the clips/events.

How about unlinking the audio and video, and disable the auto-ripple?
