Is there a way to merge two clips together in Vegas 7?
To make them one clip without any slices.Here is my situation.
I had to cut a snippet of a video and as a result I get a slice point. I need to overlay an audio clip over the top of that slice point. But I can’t do that without half the clip being covered over by the next one in line. So I need to slice to disappear. -

Render to new track. That will “freeze” the two clips together, and you won’t suffer any loss of quality if you don’t have filters applied to the clips/events.

How about unlinking the audio and video, and disable the auto-ripple?
