Either QT or Flash, 5 min of vid is going to take some time and/or be very small.

Correct, I always mixdown audio prior to tape. I was just talking about nesting for the sake of effects and time in the original question…. I think…?

How long did you black and code for? I do recall the tape stoping once when I didn’t give enough pre-roll or black the tape long enough for FCP to lock on to timecode.
I have the same config you do.

When you nest sequences like this, all audio automatically converts to a stereo pair so there is no need to do an audio mix down.

I like it! Although it takes some getting used to. I’m used to node based editors but this onjust took me some time.
I use it for end tags of 10, 20, 30 sec spots. I also used it once for lower thirds to be place. Only problem was I had to rename the clips to start with a variable like “X” john Doe or “X” Jane doe then tell Traffic to place gfx L3 on track 3 of clips that start with X.
That’s all I really use it for but it seems pretty cool.

I agree with Arndt. There are a lot of “Depens on” this or that but I have seen some really good grass with Hair.
If you don’t have hair, Place on points is an alternative. you can have a control Null affect the tips of the grass blades like they’re blowing.

Put your spline on the X,Z axis, apply align to spline to the obj. Then animate it. Now drop both in to a null obj and then rotate null back where you want it.

Import it in to 3D Studio Max and save it as a 3DS file.
