After installing the new 6.6.1 drivers for my MB Extreme it seems to have solved all of the audio and video problems on Digital and Analog outputs.
All is well.
Thanks Guys!!

6.6.1 drivers seem to fix my audio and video problems. All is well in Multibridge Extreme land.

Update to that post. Here are my driver test findings so far.
driver 6.4 – Analog audio and monitoring breaks up, crackles and residual noise
driver 6.5 – Same Problem as above
driver 6.5.1 – Same problem as above, not quite as bad, but analog YRB video breaks up occasionally
driver 6.6 – Audio problem fixed, video problem worse. YRB capture missing blue channel and YRB output breaks up frequently.
So I guess that 6.5.1 is the most stable. But I have rolled back to 6.4 to keep video stability and have connected an AES audio output in hopes that it fixes the problem.

I am running the same setup, but having various problems with drivers.

Same problem here.
I was having audio issues with the 6.4 driver/firmware (crackle and digital noise). So I upgraded to 6.6 and it fixed the audio issues, but my analog video output (component) breaks up and flashes black freqently. The analog video input seems to be missing the blue component.I also stepped back, but to version 6.5. Video is now fine, but audio crackle is back too.

I think that you are right. There is supposed to be a firmware update with 6.4 and my install did not ask to update firmware.
Thanks for the info.
I’m calling BMD right now.

The copy/paste function worked in Version 1 of Elements (functionality may differ between Elements and Pro then).
I’m trying to avoid importing another project, just to reduce clutter and workflow problems. But I will try out the import idea.

I had this same question about a month ago and decided to shoot on Beta SP. But just as a test, I ran a second DV camera on the shoot so that I could compare keys in post. The Beta SP footage (Using a Decklink Card) keys beautifully, the DV is really difficult to get a decent key.
I also can not stress the importantce of even and good lighting. Don’t try any cool lighting FX on your subject when you intend to key the footage. Most visual and lighting FX can be accomplished in post anyhow. Just get the subject and keywall lit well.DJ
