I asked the same question a few weeks ago. Kristian told me they would look into it.
Any news Kristian ? I hope the guys from D2software are helping you.

I had the same error too. I forced Ppro to refresh the preview by toggling some other video tracks on and off, or something of the kind. I don’t remeber accurately.

February 7, 2006 at 10:52 am in reply to: Could someone using PPro check this please ?Yes, thanks Adrian. I found a workaround.
Adrian, on your workstation, was PPRo 1.5 installed before you installed PPRo 2.0 ? Or is it a new workstation on which you have never installed 1.5 ? I’d guess you had PPro 1.5 installed on your machine.
Same question for you Bill. I think you might have a problem because the support guys from BMD told me that I should see a “Decklink Audio” entry in the audio hardware section of PPRO 2.0.
I’ve found a workaround for me problem, it involves installing PPRO 1.5 and reinstalling the BMD drivers.

That’s very strange. I went into the BIOS to deactivate the onboard audio controller. Then booted again. Windows is working fine, and I still get sound in Windows because it’s configured to use the Decklink Audio.
But if I now launch PPro, I get an error message saying “The currently installed soundcard driver does not support direct sound input. Recording audio is not possible”.
This leads me to think that I have sound problems because PPRo is somehow using the motherboards audio controller.

Could you check another thing ?
In the Device Manager, in the “Sound, video and game controllers” section, I see multiple entries amongst which :
– Blackmagic Decklink
– Blackmagic Decklink AudioIs that the case on your workstation too ? Or do you only have one entry there ?

October 12, 2005 at 9:31 am in reply to: BUG with 5.2.1 drivers and Premiere Pro : 16/ 9rendered clips are squishedI’ve rolled back to drivers 5.1.2. Repeating the exact procedure, with the same PPro project, doesn’t produce the bug with 5.1.2 drivers.
I’ll wait for 5.2.2 drivers then…

April 21, 2005 at 10:00 am in reply to: Flickering and Shadow Problem – see Quicktime sampleI ran in that problem too. I suspect hhe flickering comes from the shadow map which has a too small resolution. Try setting the shadow resolution to 1000×1000 for example, and adjust the sample to your taste.
Hope this helps.
