BUG with 5.2.1 drivers and Premiere Pro : 16/ 9rendered clips are squished
I’m having problems with the new drivers (5.2.1) in Premiere Pro 1.5 about aspect ratio and rendering effects.
Steps to reproduce bug :
1. Create a PPro project using an PAL Widescreen BMD preset (SD in my case)
2. Capture some PAL anamorphic widescreen footage.
3. Put the footage in a sequence.
4. Put an effect on the clip. For example a fast blur. So far so good. If I play the timeline without rendering it first I have some dropped frames but that’s ok because it depends on my systems speed. So I hit ENTER to render my clip like I used to do.
That leads to an unexpected effect : the rendered video is squished horizontally (as if the width scale was reduced to 75% I’d guess). Seems like a huge bug to me. Can you repair this or does it involve Adobe ?

I’ve rolled back to drivers 5.1.2. Repeating the exact procedure, with the same PPro project, doesn’t produce the bug with 5.1.2 drivers.
I’ll wait for 5.2.2 drivers then…

I too have reverted back to 5.1.2 this morning, because after several uninstalls and reinstalls of 5.2, I just could not get the Decklink to work from within Premiere.
Having gone back to 5.1.2, I now have presets and output from premiere again

You are not alone. I got the same problem, but I am still running driver 5.2

Hi Donat,
We found the code causing this (we did a change for something else which should not have had an impact on this – obviously it did)
Fixing it now and will do a cut next week (with the QT 7 support)

I still get the bug that my 16:9 renders are squiched, I’ve tryed several driver without succes. Wich driver version do i need to resolve this mayor issue?
Would the 5.2.3 Beta help me out?
