That sounds like the job alright but I followed the link, found the surface emitter plug in thingy but I can’t access it. Anyone know is it still going?

Hi Jeff, thanks for getting back to me about this, I tried animation and managed to knock about 10 megs off the move but I’ve exported the movie as a flash video and it was only 2 megs which was unbelievable comression but I’m using Macromedia director so I can’t control it so I’m stuck with quicktime for the time being.

I’m using object animation. I have my antialias settings at geometry and filter at animation. I’ve something like 600 stochastic samples and 20 min and 80 max. Not matter how much I play with them though I keep getting the same results.

    Hi Brian,
That’s brilliant thanks for that, I’d have been flapping around with that for god knows how long. I’ll have a play around with it and see what I can come up with.

    Thanks for the reply
That’s what I was thinking of doing but it’s more creating the effect and not the compositing I’m having the trouble with. It’s how I set up the scene achieve the look I want if you know what I mean.

If you want to achieve a vector output look and feel to the movie then the cel render option in the render settings > effects dialogue box might give you what you’re looking for. There are different settings that will go from flat illustrated graphics to a more 3d shaded style.

Thanks Adam, I’ll give it a go. I had low omni lights in there before but they didn’t really help. I’ll give them another try though. I’ve ordered radiosity for interiors from 3d fluff so hopefully that should point me in the right direction
