    Hello,
I’m trying to export a quicktime movie for use in director but I need it to render on a white background. If I use Sorenson 3, anywhere there’s supposed to be white comes up as grey which shows up against the white background in Director. If I export it using jpeg compression then it comes out as white but the file sizes are way too big. Does anyone know how to fix this as it’s driving me pretty nuts at this stage?

Hi Donal… SOR3 is notorious for not having true whites. Definitely render out some other compression (QT Animation is great) and that should match.

Hi Jeff, thanks for getting back to me about this, I tried animation and managed to knock about 10 megs off the move but I’ve exported the movie as a flash video and it was only 2 megs which was unbelievable comression but I’m using Macromedia director so I can’t control it so I’m stuck with quicktime for the time being.
