HI yea I guess I didn’t explain it that good. If I cut a clip at 1:30 sec and want to paste it at 2:30. I would like the material from 2:30 and on to not move but stay at its current position. I know if I do it in segment mode its fine. But can I do it without segment mode on.

if the screen flashes before it plays I believe then that another panel is overlapping source/record monitor and this happens. If I recall right double check and resize timeline etc to ensure nothing is overlapping. I just had the same problem today but the advice above didn’t help, I had to close then reluanch. Maybe someone has some deeper insight.

Anyone else know for sure if you can get the MP4 files on the SDHC cards without the SxS unit?

Yea I only have one track selected. I tried again just to make sure. It copies on both tracks. Annoying. I am still trying to get a good work flow on Exp. I take it I can’t import PSD files. I thought I could, didn’t work.

If you do to Avids website on the Media Composer PC forum. A tutorial was made showing how to do this. Its about 125 short tuts done by Douglas in all to help newbies and others learn MC.

You can also use the nudge buttons, I have them mapped to my keyboard. You can move 1 frame left/right or 10 frames left/right. Not sure if they are in fast menu or not, just check keyboard in settings and mapp if that is how you edit.

Thanks, informative on both parts. I do feel I can push the site and make it successful if not at least break even with any cash I spend. Let me know what you think about this. I thought of going to some very well known companies around here and let them know I have a site were they can advertise. I was thinking of giving them 3 mos free of exposure for 3 mos of paid advertisement.l Also if needed would exchange some video services for a co effort in advertising the site, same as you grin. Businesses I was looking at is credit unions and some local business chains.
Can anyone chime in on ways or ideas of purusing business. I am quite sure this has been covered already but maybe some new ideas can spring up.

Hi guys, thanks, and believe me I have no problem taking some small wage jobs. I fiqure the more experience I get the better. It was just confusing that when I mentioned a internship to some of these companies and told them were I was going they never got back with me. Not even a ” No we are taking anyone right now”.
I have decided to break out the camera and record some footage to improve my reel. I am looking at some businesses to do “interviews and history of” with.
