    hhmmmm…..

You want it to maintain the original color, I’m just thinking out load here, but metal reflects. So maybe you want to create the effect of reflection.

This can be done numerous ways I suppose,

But try this, choose a still or video as to use as a reflection layer, put it on top of the layer and change the layer’s mode to SCREEN. lower the opacity of the layer to taste.

No reflection is usually distorted, so stretch the layer out of porportion to fake the distortion, or use a distort effect if you want, but usually stretching it is enough.

If there is to much detail in the reflection, add a levels effect and clip some of the detail.

animate the reflection around if needed.

I wouldn’t un Vista yet, Hardware guys need to write drivers that are compatible, software guys need to test and develop pacthes to make their programs compatible. when you see drivers and patches on most of the software/hardware vendors’ websites, then only it’s time to upgrade your OS.

    Just my opinion though.

Yeah, I would use audio of one camera, provided that all the camera’s recorded without stopping here and there.

And then normalize that audio track, but it probably could be better to take it out to Audition if you have it? It’ll just be a bit easier working with the audio there.

What codec did you render out with, I find the same problem if I render out of AE with a DV Codec, try uncompressed.

The Apple screens seems to be incredible, but I don’t know how compatible they are on PC systems. (dunno if there is any issues with the gamma difference of PC and Mac for example)

    Yes it is.

If you want a certain color to remain and the rest black & white, no problem.

If you want a multicolored object/whole person grey, that’s gonna take some time, hie hie (check out rotoscoping)

December 21, 2006 at 3:06 pm in reply to: Production Studio – HELP gone!?!

Sorry about that. Worked for me.

And it doesn’t look like the 7.0.1 updates fixed any of the help issues.

Hope you get it sorted out!

    Hi there,

RAM Preview uses your available RAM to store the frames of yoru animation.

Thus the more RAM you have the more preview you can get.

How much RAM does your system have?
