Thanks, but I’ve gone thru-out that site and downloaded and tried everything there i could think of, but nothing so far has worked.
I’ve tested my pdw-u1 on another computer here and this is the folder structure i see:
G:\Clip\C0001.mxf ; C0001m01.xml ; C0002.mxf ; etc, ect
G:\Edit\(empty folder)
G:\General\(empty folder)
G:\Sub\C0001s01.mxf ; etc, etc
(hidden folder)G:\PROAV\CLPR\C0001\C0001A01.mxf;C0001A02.mxf; and other files for each track in C0001. then theres a folder for each clip (G:\PROAV\CLPR\C0002,3,4,5,etc, etc)
G:\PROAV\EDTR (empty folder)This folder heirarchy works for me. I take the MXF files from G:\Clip\ and import them directly in premier audio and video together in 1 file, and have no problems.
On my computer where I’m having the problems, this is my folder structure:
G:\General\(empty folder)
G:\PROAV\CLPR\C0001\C0001A01.mxf;C0001A02.mxf; and other files for each track in C0001. then theres a folder for each clip(G:\PROAV\CLPR\C0002,3,4,5,etc, etc)
G:\PROAV\EDTR (empty folder)In the add/remove programs option in my control panel, I’ve figured out which versions are installed on the working computer:
– Sony XDCAM Drive Software V 1.0.0.68
– Sony XDCAM Viewer V 2.11.0139
– ProDisc V 2.040
– PDZ-1 V 2.23.00I’ve successfully downloaded and installed newer versions of all 4 of these on my computer, but to no avail. I’ve tried to locate the exact same versions to try to re-create the properly working conditions, but cannot find them online anymore.
If you don’t know, can you please tell me what works for you if u have a similar set-up.
Thanks again,

Ok, thanks for your help.

I think that update only works with P2 MXF files. I am working with Sony XD MXF files.
I am running AE 8.0.2.27
So I guess I am SOL till the next update??

Yep, nm… I’ve answered my own question.

Gotta double check, but it occured to me I might have re-linked them to the wrong clips…

I was hoping there was a plugin out there somewhere for this, because I’ve got a few hundred MXF clips to shot log, and it would be easier to identify with the client if i could easily add the clip name/# to the media timecode.
Thanks anyways.

Great,
this is exactly the kind of feedback I was hoping for.Thank you very much.
I’ve also found a great video review by Aharon in the meantime:

Yeah, it sounded quite odd to me too.
Thanks for confirming what I assumed. I’ve decided the hard limiter effect works for me here.

Does anyone know of an expression that can accomplish what I’m after?

Filip,
Iteresting suggestion. I’ve never used this effect before, so I’m not sure exacly how to apply it to stretch my logo on my 2:1 rectangle before applying CC Sphere.
I will see if i can accomplish what you think can be done. But I also welcome anyone else’s expression suggestions to solve the problem i described in my previous posting.
Thanks all for your help!
