Thanks Mike,
I figured it was a fairly simple solution, I just didn’t know where to add the + 90.
Unfortunately it hasn’t quite had the desired effect.
I’m trying the age old elusive technique of making a soccer ball with CC Sphere. I’ve made a satisfactory pattern in PS for the middle of the ball. And I was thinking if i left the top and bottom blank, I could simply add a logo using a second offset layer.
The ultimate goal was to link these layers with the expression you gave me, and then have the ‘Master’ layer auto-orientate to the camera using Andrew Kramer’s demonstrated technique to insert it as a 3D object in a 3D scene.
However, I’m thinking it might not work, because the Y rotation affects the 2 layers differently. The master layer spins like a clock, while the offset layer spins like a clock laying flat.
Any suggestions, or can u think of a way to modify this expression to work properly?
Thanks again,
-Derek-

Do you guys know if Main Concept’s MPEG PRO HD 2.0 plugin works yet on the PPro CS3?
Or is there just no way yet to work with mxf files in CS3?
Also, what will it take to work with DVCPRO50 footage in PPro CS3?
Do I have to go and buy another 3rd party plugin?? -
Thanks for your help… I will investigate.

Rotoscoping all that… That sounds like A LOT of work..
I was imagining something like coating the iPod a bright colour like red or something. And essentially chroma key twice, once for the green screen, and once for the red.
I havn’t been able to think it thru all the way.. but shouldn’t something like that be possible, and easier than rotoscoping hundreds or thousands of frames of headphone wires bouncing around?

Well, this has just been me, posting for you, a conversation between me and myself… looks like together we’ve determined that there has been some sorta glitch in my ext. hard drive.
I restarted my computer, and things are pretty close to where they should be.
My files work, and I hardly lost any work done. And I’ve realized that its probably a good idea to move or at least back up this project onto another drive!
Thanks for reading (whoever u are)

Hey,
Ok, using Sony’s PDZ-1 software, I have been able to get my MXF files onto my system… now I need to get them into my PPro. Does anyone know of any plug-ins or methods to get my footage into PPro from my MXF files??

Thanks guys,
I’m pretty sure I’ll stick with the default Encore settings

Thanks for the discussion guys,
I’ve sent out both NTSC and PAL.. hopefully the NTSC works, because the PAL i converted in Premiere.. and I could not guarantee the quality of playback when it gets to a full PAL system.
Fingers crossed,
thanks again.
