i’d get every thing loaded on the stock ram make sure it runs fine for a couple days then swap it out. then if it act’s like an insane gf put the stock back in.. Remember the tempermental G5 ram issue, i might just be paranoid..

I wish it was that easy, i know beta and smpte level. I tested the yrb A to d straight into a BVW75, D-Beta and the Multibridge will not send proper signal out the yrb A to D in ntsc, but pal is fine. I’ve tried a few MB’s and all the software versions and still no worky.. Maybe they fixed it on the extreme??

Make sure your deck Freq is 50/25. the capture card will not lock to the deck even if the Freq is off a little. If you can validate whats actually coming out of the deck via scope. Progressive is always better than interlace IMHO, its a trade off 720 has more vertical rez and 1080 has more horizantal rez.

I’d go with AJA, Blackmagic still has not fixed the NTSC Component A to D side of theit multibridge so i’d assume the decklink has the same problem.. PAL is fine though..

if you can play the file in QT then you should be able to Export from QT directly..

it should work.. make a copy of the file and change the extention to (.mov). this might work and it might eat your file..

fyi, not sure if blackmagic ever fixed this problem they havent with the multibridge yet. the D to A component analog side works as expected but the A to D side still has problems, you’ll never get a proper setup on the output.
