David, do you know what the difference is between the TC class and the TH class Panasonic monitors?

David the spec sheet on the monitor you provided (https://www.visualapex.com/plasma/Plasma_details.asp?VA=Panasonic&chPartNumber=TH-42PH20U) lists the resolution as 1024×768 yet its a 1280×720 HD monitor.
How do they do that?
Also, do you know what happens if you feed 1080i or 1080p into that monitor? Does it scale it down? Do all 720 HD monitors scale 1080 down?
I’m looking for a monitor to feed a MXO2 Mini Max into.

Thanks for your input John. That has it looking 70% better.
I then adjusted the deinterlace to “better” and that has it looking just like the QT export!

Since you are working on a feature I’m going to assume you have a rather long sequence or sequences. You may want to try:
1. Having ONLY one sequence open at a time.
2. Sub-divide that one sequence into smaller sequences. ie show the producer/director 10 minutes at a time.
3.Try saving the smaller sequences as their own projects to help cut down on the number of clips in it.
I have run into times when it seemed FCP just had trouble keeping up with lots of open clips.
Again since everything was stable and just now is showing trouble I would look to see how full your media drives are. If you are over 75% you may be having trouble.

If you have access to another firewire device, like a deck or a camera (with an av pass thru)you might try capturing without the IO.

You might try trashing your preferences.
