I exported from an HDV source to a 640×360, 1200kbps, .h264 file from Quicktime Pro and the result looks fantastic, but it is slow.

So I tried the same thing in Compressor (same size and data rate) but the text within my video has jagged edges no matter what data rate I try.

    What is going on?

I want to take advantage of Qmaster virtual clusters and render quickly.

Thanks for any input you may have.

Impossible to say without you giving more information about what settings you’ve used. Possibly you’ve used multi-pass in QT and not in compressor.

BTW. Read the posts at the very top of this forum.

I turned Frame Controls on and set the Resizing quality to best.

I then adjusted the deinterlace to “better” and that has it looking just like the QT export!
