It sounds like a field issue although your setting seem correct. It my be worth changing your fields from “even” to “odd” as a test (although for DV it should be “even”).
Are you viewing it on an output monitor or simply the computer, as to clearly see field issues it needs to be a TV monitor.

    Hi Rob
It’s in filters/video/timecode generator. If your sequence has a lot of cuts I would nest it into another to produce one clip, then drop the filter on. You may need to render it.

    Hi
I found that FCP struggled with large pictures and I ended up changing the image size in Photoshop to 720×576(PAL) (or the nearest size depending on the shape of the cutting) with a resolution of 72, and saving it out as a pict. This worked well if only a small zoom was needed and rendered much faster. The picture quality was accually better as the printed dot pattern of the newsprint was doing weird things on the higher rez option.
And definately flicker filter med or max.

    Hi
no expert, but in my limited experience you’ve tried it all and it sounds like only a full uninstall and reinstall of FCP will work!

    Thanks Michael
I prefer the results from the Pyramix also, unfortunately its just not possible to put everything from 3 busy FCP’s through one audio guy. Finance dictates that some short inserts must be finished in the FCP. Are there any recomended AU plugins I could demo for EQ and compression/limiting?
    Cheers
