Thanks Zane, that’s great to know.
I have worked a little with the FotoMagico folks
and they were responsive and helpful.
I’m glad their product is doing well, they deserve it.

Zane I am a big fan of FotoMagico.
Does the slideshow import with the kind of quality
you can get out of the program itself?

    thanks,

Richard that sounds like a real drag,
I hope you find a solution soon – just sorry
    I don’t have a suggestion.

    Shane,

That is a spot on tutorial recommendation.
I have been using it for the last week or so
and it is working really well with FCS2, Canon XH-A1,
Mac Pro two 3.0Ghz Quad-Core Intel, OSX 10.4.11.

However, as everyone probably knows, it uses lots more
    disk territory.

    Jerry,
it’s a little late on the topic,
but I have now gotten familiar with Motion’s ability
to slow a clip and I think it is fantastic.
    Thanks for pointing the way.

Has anyone tried speed changes in Motion?
    I was really impressed.

    Yup Shane,
Even with my old (but still fabulous image quality), M100,
    we captured to SCSI drives.

How anyone at Apple could recommend using the home drive for
    capture is ‘way beyond me.

    (old school and loving it)

    Not to pile on here,
but the advice you are reading is probably the best you will be
able to find. These guys have experienced what all long-time
Mac owners come to find out – the easy way or the hard way; rebuild your system
if you want to restore it’s full functionality.

Let us know how it goes,

I have MB Looks and it is a pretty good adjunct
for adding a film look and some other enhancements.
Not that I am some big deal post-expert, I’m not – but I think
Looks needs more work before it is qualified as up to the usual
    Magic Bullet/Red Giant quality.
Their tech support was very responsive, but there seem to be some teething problems right now…and no upgrades or fixes since the intitial release in September.

Not slamming them – I want Looks to succeed, it’s a great idea.
But it needs some smoothing out.

    fwiw
