Just purchased Final Cut Pro X and so far starting to like it. So it is not perfect but at least I don’t have to pay a monthly or annual membership fee to access my projects. If you need the product for a short period of time I could see the cloud as an option but for long term use I don’t care to go that route for reasons obvious.

Before we know it there will be an Adobe or Not forum after this blunder. Adobe listens? What a joke! This will give Avid and potentially Autodesk Smoke more business. Thanks Adobe for listening, well not really!
Time to go put money the cuss word jar after thinking of some sentence enhancers to describe my thoughts at the moment.

I agree with you there.
One thing I do like about Final Cut Pro X and Motion is this:
The ability to create a generator, title, or transition in Motion and later use it inside of Final Cut Pro X without having to render out a Quicktime movie and import it into each project you work on. For example, I have a custom made lower third that has everything the way I like it and all I want to do is change the text. I can apply that lower third as many times as needed and change the text as needed. Of course I would like to see more of a dynamic link that Adobe uses, a powerful and useful feature.
With enough time I think Final Cut Pro X will become even better and create more competition.

Also, there is no “Send To Motion” option like there was in FCP 7, ouch! There is also the fact that there was no big announcement of what Apple has planned for Final Cut Pro X down the road which leaves me to believe there will only be updates for the time being.

Just for the fun of it, maybe Final Cut Pro X will give us tracks and the ability to work with tape and import Final Cut Pro 7 projects, and versions prior. Maybe, just maybe a send to Motion feature will be implemented as well. Just a guess, nothing more.
Oh, maybe they will announce the new Mac Pro, time will tell.
