People like me on Facebook said, “Hell no!” Now it is possible that Apple might be doing this for iOS devices though that is just a guess. Others have speculated that the subscription will be an option unlike the Adobe model. It could also mean that Apple will have its own content subscription model say something like that Shutter Stock has though that could be unlikely. Tea leaves are for making tea not something to read into like I just did. ?

After talking with a few other moderators in a Facebook group I decided to drop the “X” from the group name. Of course there were a few funny comments. Did you and Ron sign up under different names just to torment me with those remarks? ? It is surprising that no one thought of Final Cut Pro X.V as a new name. Might as well say Motion V.V just for fun. Apple could have easily called it Final Cut Pro Leopard just as they did with the old school versions of OS back in the day. I know I am being silly but this year has been one hell of a screwball nut job.

Audio in Fusion
Render in place
Export a timeline
Font preview (not included in livestream)
Additional compositing features in Edit page
Electronic key unlocks Fusion standalone (also not mentioned in livestream)
Collaboration tools will be available in free version right around the time of first non beta release
Improved optical flow
Cut page improvements
Multicam features
Looks like Final Cut Pro X fell behind.

This is going to be an interesting month. I read one post where Resolve might be more like Baselight in the color grading department. Time will tell.

Batch syncing
Color markers
Better keyframes ?
Motion integration
With that said, a nice update especially when it comes to a proxy workflow.

I was looking forward to a Resolve update by respect the decision by Blackmagic Design to hold off on that for now. One thing I have noticed are some deep discounts or extended try out periods during this time of uncertainty. I do miss seeing the rants, the reviews and the occasional food fight though civil conversations are refreshing. Ready to go back to normal, whatever that is.
