Final Cut Studio? Wonder what Apple has in their pile of cards, perhaps an ace high with four kings.

Wow! I would like to see not only Resolve be the next great NLE but have OFX support so that Genarts, Red Giant and other effect plug-in software could be used in Resolve. Also, would like Resolve to have compositing capabilities like Nuke or Fusion, that would bring some real competition to the table.

Also take a look at DaVinci Resolve Lite for color grading. There is a bit of a learning curve at the beginning but it is worth learning as it is a very powerful and flexible color grading tool. I also like the DigiEffects damage suite for some really nice film looks.

Premiere Pro does not allow you to convert mono to stereo or stereo to mono. The only way to keep your left and right channel on their own respective tracks is to make sure your sequence settings has only mono tracks is to create a new sequence and set your master audio to the appropriate settings, enter 0 for stereo tracks and the number you need for mono tracks. If you are starting a new project just do what was outlined above only you will not have to create a new sequence in this case.
You may also want to create a custom preset with settings you will use commonly. This way you won’t have to manually change settings each time.

Thank you very much Black Magic Design for adding the color wheel, this is one thing I missed switching over from Color. I truly believe that DaVinci will become even a better tool.
I would like, however, to see better support for Adobe Premiere Pro. However, thanks again for adding some useful updates and features.

I do love Colorista II but I still think that Adobe taking over Color would make the Production Premium even a more valuable tool set. I will continue to cross my fingers and knock on wood that Color will somehow find its place in Adobe CS 5.5 or later versions.

I would love to see Adobe take over Color. That is the only thing missing from an otherwise well-rounded production suite. I also think that would make Adobe even more competitive with Avid. It is a shame that Color is now EOL. Should Adobe make the move to get Color it would make the workflow much faster and effective for everyone and it is certainly and without question a win-win move for everyone. I would even pay extra money for it because it will be worth it.
