Dual bypass! What a great product! If you know anyone at the company, I’ve got a quote for hem that you can pass along:

Nothing, absolutely nothing, makes my sound sound more like my sound than the Transparenator. Nothing.

[Chris Harlan] “hammertime! LOL. SUCH A DEAL.”

    My favorite paragraph:

Because UAD Simplicity plug-ins feature no knobs, controls, buttons, or any other plausible way to adjust their sound, they’ve been designed with onboard MPUP™ (Most Popular User Preset) Technology. This technology removes hours of guesswork, giving users the single sound that best represents the complex, almost infinite possibilities of 50-year old classic analog recording equipment.

It’s the perfect compliment to FCP X! 😉

    Here’s some tag lines:

When you can have the absolute best, why would you want all the rest?

    Choice–what a waste of time.

Here’s what they should have written, in the the interest of truth in advertising:

Because UAD Simplicity plug-ins feature no knobs, controls, buttons, or any other plausible way to adjust their sound, they’ve been designed with onboard FIIK™ (***ked If I Know) Technology. This technology removes hours of learning, and years of experience, giving users the ability to click between dozens of presets that they wouldn’t understand if they tripped over them. You can check your brain at the door!

Sadly this seems to be where the train is going. In a few years time our only choices might be to get on the train or become financial consultants.
