Thank you for the quick reply. Do you think render times will be better with the new version? I also saw that there is 360 degree video support too.
I don’t have an nvidia card to make use of the Nvenc

Ok, I saw the Nuke could do some of that stuff, so I thought I would ask if AE was capable as well. Thanks

Here is an example that looks somewhat like what I am trying to achieve:

I wish I could find the image I was looking for – but I remember in the old arcade games, with the cut scenes, the still image of a character would appear to jump because the background was zooming behind it – like a radial blur or something. I have been trying for a few days and can’t get it, let alone explain it better…sucks to be me

Yes I did. Here is the issue I am seeing. First off, I parented the card to the other layer – that helped. The other issue is that I cannot use a small number like .01 because it looks good when the card is fully turned, but about it doesn’t show until the turn is complete. I have used a bigger number like 1-2 pixels in Z space for this to work. This goes against the tutorials I have seen that don’t seem to need this much pixel room, but for me it looks like I do.

I have tried both with no success. After searching, I found cardwipe and tried that, but there is nothing to indicate what the back of the flipped card will be in the plug-in – or if it is there – it is not working for me.
As for Z space, I have tried that too. I created a layer (L1), rotated it 180 degrees on the 7 axis. Then I duplicated the layer and moved the 2nd layer (L2) on the Z axis -1 and 1 (at different times). I put a ramp on the layer to make it different BUT when I check the rotation, it does not seem to work and it is the same on both sides.

thank you I will try that

I am working through it on my own, yes I agree but I am finding since most like marquee go off and on, the Vegas lights move like a snake, rather than the effect I want.
I am going to try and find a bulb from the top and put a glow on it and keyframe it off / on – and then copy it 30-40 time and see how that looks because I with Vegas it doesn’t seem to work the way I want, or I am just lacking the experience with it to use it properly. -
That Todd, but I am having a hard time finding a tutorial on how to use it – the help file doesn’t indicate how it is used and searches on google bring up Sony Vegas rather than Vegas effect from After effects – any quick tutorial on this works?
