If I have started a project already, can I change the spec in the comp or is it better to start over?

Ok, they told me Beta SP/SX. The challenge I am having is getting a hold of someone that can tell me the dimensions for the comp. I am creating. If I can get away with 720X540, that is great. I don’t want to put the comp together and find out a week from now that it is too small and have to redo it all again…

It is in Canada for CTV.

Thanks, I have that emitter already. I was hoping something that would look like paint being splashed from a bucket or something like that.

Does this just mean that AE will work on a 64bit system, but it is not natively made for it?

Thanks everyone. I haven’t tried the proxies yet. I rendered out all night and finished this morning. I will try that to see if the proxies work on the weekend. Again, many thanks

I really like the look of it, and it has a fairy-tale quality to it – not sure if that is what you were going for, but it is a great footage for what night would be like for a movie.

yeah, I was under a tight deadline, still am. Learning as I go isn’t the best way to go in a situation like that, but there you have it.

The images are 2000X2500. I must have been out to lunch when I first made them and used it as a template there-in.
The comp is 720X480. They are PNG so they are not too bad for file size, but the dimensions are much too big and is making the project go really slow.
I tried to resize them in PS, but when I REPLACED the old photos (2000X2500) with them in AE, the picture in AE grew noticeably smaller. I also tried to fix this with a simple scaling, but when I scaled the smaller image, it did not scale in the same place. If it was only 1 or 2 photos, I would just re-do it, but it is 50+ photos using a 3D camera etc.

Funny and true…I am just getting a bit worried because my comp that I am rendering now is 15 minutes and taking 6+ hours to render, hence the splitting of hairs.
