    Hi,

Sit tight on the laptop support. We need to do some additional work because the slower Intel Macs (Intel Laptops, older Intel generation Mac Pro’s) are not fast enough.

  • Dave,

Do you have the device connected to the FireWire port on the Media 100 card, or the FireWire port on the Mac?

    Jim,

Your board is broken. If you have Platinum Services we can replace it. If you do not we do not offer repair or replacements anymore (many of the components of the P6000 are no longer available).

    Sorry for the bad news.

Oh, I don’t know, whatever free or not. My point is it’s time for an upgrade. We can’t make it any easier to upgrade or less expensive at this point.

Check you deck, Sony usually has add on cards for their decks that enable certain options. You deck probably outputs HD component. Media 100 does not output HDV (or any HD format) via FireWire, only through the connections provided with your AJA or HDx Hardware

Media 100i 8.2.3 will not support Leopard. 8.2.3 is a paid upgrade from 8.2.1. 8.2.3a has support for Tiger coded within it.

You can upgrade to Media 100 Producer or the new Media 100 Suite (which will work with your AJA Hardware). Media 100 Producer is $995. Media 100 Suite is $1495, but previous Media 100 owners can upgrade for $995 for a limited time.

    Chris,

No need to badger. We know it needs to be done and it will, it won’t be in the next release, but we will have it done for the next one after that. Sorry about this, we are working our way down the requested feature list and will get you this feature very soon.
