I believe it does work with PrPro on the Mac. But why don’t you check the Red Giant site about that?

Holding the alt-key makes the scroll wheel zoom in and out.
With the mouse over the vertical slider of the timeline panel the scroll wheel scrolls up and down.

64 bit VST plugins need to be installed into c:program filesSteinbergVstplugins
PremierePro by default checks that directory on loading. If a new plugin is found to be compatible it will be listed in the Effects panel under Audio Effects. and when you apply it to an audio clip it’s controls will be in the Effects Control Panel.

Erik, you may want to call Red Giant support and see whether the 1.3 update for II fixed the problem (On Windows 1.1 colour wheels were just not very responsive…none of the blinkng and flashing you’re talking about) And there’s also a completely new version out which may have eliminated any problems….though it is a paying upgrade.

OK try this route to it:
Start::Control Panel::Programs::Make a File Type always open in a Specific Program
Wait for the list to appear. Scroll down to .wav and double click on it. Browse to the IzotopeRx application and select it.
Hope this does the trick.

You can nest them, or group them, depending on what you want to do with them. Nesting treats them as one clip. Grouping, I think, allows some batch trimming options

Make sure the track of the clip you want to match is the topmost highlighted. Then it should work with the M key.

I haven’t tried this but you may have to select all the clips (or group them)for Rolling Edit to work with all.

Hi Theo,
If you are on Windows you have to associate wav files with the Rx app so “edit original” will open the file in Rx. In Start do a search for “associations” and that will take you there. If you are on a Mac someone else will have to tell you.

In theory PrPro supports 64 bit VST. In practice very few plugins work. This is a limitation in how PrPro presently supports VST. Hopefully that will change for the better.
There are two solutions:
If you have CS5.5 and Audition you can use RX VSTs there with dynamic linking.
I prefer to do the following as it’s normally faster and doesn’t require Audition:
– set the RX standalone app as the default for wav files (on Windows, I don’t know how on Macs)
– render and replace the audio clip on the timeline (this may require first unlinking if it’s part of a video file)
– then from the new clips context menu select edit original. This loads the clip in the RX app. After I do my RX work I save the file. PrPro writes the new file wave form data and replaces the clip on the timeline.
