Nope, 6400 is as good as it gets. Perhaps you can scale up your object work our edits and then scale it back down.

Michael, I completely agree with you. I also normally wait until some patches are released for any new software I buy. Same with hardware, I avoid buying the very first generation for the same reason. But this time I was having so many issues with some footage that a client is sending me that I thought this fine tuning would be beneficial, after all, Apple claims SL is a \”finely tuned\” version of Leopard so I figured what the hell, hopefully all the glitches are gone now, sadly some new arrived an for the future I will wait until someone else has already dealt with them.

    Zane,

Try using the installer from this website,

    https://www.dynexproducts.com/pc-687-7-dynex-2-port-esata-ii-expresscard-adapter.aspx

That’s the one I’m using and it’s working fine, mine is a Dynex 2-Port eSATA II ExpressCard Adapter, bought it in Best Buy for $74. Not that I really know about cards or anything, it was the only one on stock when I bought it and so far so good.

I’m afraid to turn off my computer tonight tough…

I installed my brand new copy of Snow Leopard this morning and everything was fine until I tried to plug my external 320 gb Western Digital drive via my Dynex ExpressCard. Nothing. As it turns out the driver required for this card is now in the incompatible software folder recently created by Snow Leopard.

BUT, out of desperation after looking in several sites including, Dynex’s, Silicon Image’s and another one I can’t remember, I ended up re-downloading the driver (Sil3132) and installing it again, miraculously the hard drive is up again and apparently running as usual, I loaded a Premiere Project just to test and so far so good. In fact it runs quite a lot faster than it used to before.

I haven’t woken up from my dream so far, but I’ll keep you posted as any news develop.

Hi Eric, thanks for your help, I think you hit it right on the spot, by checking on the activity monitor while working on Premiere, I always have two unresponsive processes, the ImporterProcessServer and PhotoshopImporter or something like that, the first time I saw them I forced quitted them directly in the activity monitor, thinking that some Photoshop component had failed to quit entirely and it was dragging my computer’s performance slow, but as soon as I quitted it, Premiere crashed, so, the Photoshop process is indeed related to Premiere, although it appears as unresponsive.

It might be that sole process, the importerProcessServer the one that it’s crashing the entire suite, every time I quit a program it crashes, the guys at Adobe mentioned something about the permissions on the preferences folder but i repaired them already and changed them and the problem still happens.

It’s just buggy, they need to release a patch asap.

August 29, 2009 at 2:16 pm in reply to: Adobe Illustrator serial number problem

What the guy, “Joe” did is illegal, he sold you a worthless cd, when you buy any software from Adobe or pretty much any other software developer what you actually by is the license not the cd. If he was honest he would have sent you the actual serial number along with some proof that the software was uninstalled and deactivated from his computer. By sending you the cd alone it is clear that he want to profit from something that he is not allowed to.

Your chances of success with Adobe are very slim. Pretty much all you can do is flag this seller with eBay and maybe report it to the authorities for selling pirated products.

Don’t ever buy software from eBay, if it looks to good to be true, then it is!!. If Adobe’s prices seem too expensive, try Amazon, Macmall or Adorama, but you will get a couple hundred bucks off tops, anyone claiming to have a legal copy for less than half the original price is trying to ripping you off.

    Hi Aaron,

Let me ask you something, and please excuse me if I’m my question seems inappropriate, is not aimed to you or anybody in particular, but to trying to isolate the problem.

Is your copy of Premiere legal?

  • That’s not entirely true, you can repeat any transformation you just performed exactly to the same values by hitting command D (Repeat Transform) right after the first transformation was done, so if you first create all your objects and then distort the first one, by scaling it, rotating it or using the free transform tool you can mimic the exact same transformation on the others by simply hitting command D, however if you do anything else in between, even just dragging one object or nudging it a bit then that last action will become the new transformation to mimic and you will have to distort manually again before being able to repeat the transform again.

  • You need to change the color book from where you are picking your original color, try Pantone Color Bridge from the Swatches library submenu.

If you are planning on printing in CMYK I would recommend you to click the little button right next to the PMS name in your color menu and convert your PMS to a CMYK swatch. Then go to the menu list (the one that you get by clicking in the corner of the panel) and chose “Save swatch library as ASE”, you will be able to load the new .ase file into Photoshop and that will ensure that no color shift happens.

Also keep in mind that what matters both in Photoshop and Illustrator is the formula values not the color that you see on the screen, if you perceive a color shift between Photoshop and Illustrator but the percentages of each ink are equals then there is no color shifting happening.

Check also the color profile that you are using for your specific document in Photoshop. Change it to “Don’t color manage this document” or Working CMYK U.S. Web Coated SWOP.

May I ask why do you need to output your final image from Photoshop instead of printing from Illustrator?

    Best,

    D.

  • Sure, my email is elcabes@gmail.com.

I will post my issue in the adobe forums although I’m not sure if I already did.

Shoot me an email, maybe we can exchange a couple sample files to see how they behave in different platforms and computers.
