Hi guys, I know this is an old thread, but perhaps you can help me, I’m trying to do exactly what this thread is about, render a comp from After Effects and have it upload automatically overnight so I don’t have to wait. I’ve done in the past a million times, mostly from Premiere, but also from AE.
However this time something weird is happening, the comp is being displayed on AME without a bunch of 3D features that I added in After Effects, for example, shadows and the color cast that the lights are causing, everything should look yellowish but when I look at it in the preview window in AME it looks pale as the original footage is, the shadows are nowhere to be found.
I’m using CS5 on a mac, I don’t think this issue is hardware related but for what is worth I have a Mac quadcore running Snow Leopard with 16gb.
Can somebody help me to fix this issue?

You need to upgrade, cs2 is too old and no longer supported. Newer systems and os are too demanding for its architecture.

You don’t. Instead group the paths together. What is the final object or purpose you want to achieve?

Use the pathfinder tool to merge the main shapes together and then the make compound path command to ge the inner circle holes again.

Get a print proof, your gradients might be printing ok but look weird on the screen. Both Illustrator and Indesign are known for not being entirely accurate on what you see on the screen, specially in terms of color.

.eps is an old format used for printing back in the 90’s. Never intended to be used on broadcast media and no longer maintained by anyone, on its way out, it’s always a healthy practice to convert it to something else before importing it into any other program.

Do not import the .eps file to After Effects, save it as an Illustrator file with pdf compatible content enabled.

Are you sure you’re saving it to the right format? I was able to place your logo in AE without any trouble. No white box to be found.

I’m having the same issue, and at some times the cti does not move at all during playback of ram previews. Not only that, but the entire interface starts “flashing” when I scrub anything, be it the cti or roll down a panel, that led me to believe that this is due a lack of enough resources on my computer. I have 8gb ram but I’m working a 1280×1080 comp with lots of expressions, cameras and many nested comps.
I’m getting a more powerful computer in the following days, will let you know if the situation improves once I test this project in that one.
