  • No, on a plane that I was using as a guide. I deleted both the plane and the texture, in the end I just renamed a completely unrelated screen shot to match the name of the offending one, that solved the issue.

I haven’t heard of Tools 4D, I’ll check it out asap.

    Thanks!

Nah, don’t worry about it, it’s fixed now.

If anything can I ask you ask you a somewhat related question? I’m using a lot of mattes, and I need them to be blurred to so the lumas match the main rgb image blurred by FL Depth of Field, however I can’t apply the plug in on an adjustment layer because it blurs my background layer too and starts causing the blurry edges. How do I turn my mattes out of focus? Do I need to apply the plug in to each matte separately?

I’m using a depth layer exported from Cinema 4D and Frischluft’s Depth of field, and still getting the blurred edges, any way to get rid of them?

Hey Tim, are you using i5 or i7 Minis?

  • Thanks Adam, I ended up buying NitroBake for that same purpose, it bakes all keyframes and converts cloners to individual objects.

I’ll try that, I ended up copying everything to a new document. That worked.
    Thanks Ashish.

March 1, 2013 at 8:56 pm in reply to: Put display to sleep in R13?

It does, but then the entire system goes to sleep, so the render stops, I need only the display to go to sleep while the cpu continues working.

I just tried one thing a few minutes ago, to see if C4D is indeed the culprit, I set up a corner of my screen to put the display to sleep. If C4D is not running it works all the time, whereas if C4D is open it will awake itself after a few seconds, every time.

February 20, 2013 at 4:43 pm in reply to: strange situation error

I got this error today, I had rendered a quicktime movie (a test, using the save as command in the picture viewer) from Cinema 4D and inadvertently saved it as a still, but with a .mov extension. As soon as I realized my error I resaved the file in C4D and when I clicked reload footage in AE, I got the error.

The footage lost its icon in the project window and appeared as missing, if I could I would have removed it from the project manager and reimported it again, but the strange situation message kept popping and I had to force quit.

I just run into the same problem, I’m almost sure it’s related (in this case) to Optical Flares. I have a scene with several OF which are following different sets of lights. Everything was working fine until I added an expression to animate the intensity of the lights sequentially, .4 seconds after the previous one. At that point the program crashed and when I restarted I got the “A problem occurred” message.

I have good ram and a powerful video card, I don’t know what could be the problem, but I also got it a few days ago working with Element 3D.

I have the same issue in CS6, with 32gb of ram, did anyone ever found the solution?
