MPEG1 in ?Compressor defaults to that size. AFAIK, it’s not editable. The MPEG1 standards are actually written in stone that way although some other compression systems (Cleaner or Sorenson, maybe?) might allow some adjustments to the image size.
Talk to your client carefully and sweetly. Anyone who goes out of their way to specify MPEG1 as a working format should already know about the image size specs.

Timelapse is a funny thing. You use a simple math statement to figure out how many frames of video it takes to display a known length of finished video to show a known length of compressed time.
If it takes five hours to heat up, why would you need to shoot five hours? It’s not doing anything for most of that time. all you need is a single still image for at least three of those of five hours.

The topic comes up weekly it seems.I do not believe there is a solution but I haven’t been reading those threads, just seen ’em. Hopefully someone else who knows how to deal with it will chime in.
You’ll want to search the forum while you’re waiting.
There are some issues with FCP4 through 5 that prevent accurate reassembly of nested sequences. 5.1 seems to have most of those under control.

Yes, it is critical that you use the proper route from the Browser, where you've got your nest appearing as a sequence, to the main sequence. You cannot copy and paste if you want to have live links running back upstream. I’m not sure when that was supposed to have gotten fixed, either in a recent update to 5.0 or in the current 5.1 rev, which is not free. Sorry not to be able to answer this more clearly for you.
However, searching for “nested” or “nest” here on the cow’s FCP forum might get you better information faster than someone can post it for you. We’ve been dealing with FCP’s insufficient nesting capabilities for a long time.
If you do figure it out, please return to your post and tell the rest of us what you did to fix it. Luck.

There is no choice, get the Macbook.
Or wait till the new Intel desktops arrive if you need the expansion capabilities. Buying a new G5 is waste of money. The G5 is dead. It’s slow and clumsy compared to the Macbooks. The Intel Macs are unbelievable.bogiesan
