Also just read Jerry Hofmann’s article in the new Cow Mag; thanks for putting it all in one place!

Regarding the FCP 5 recomended combination, any changes for the new 5.1 universal? I have not yet mustered the courage to send off my original disks for an unknown upgrade.

Any opinions or recomendations out there in the pasture? The bucolic Cow pasture that is.

    Thanks,

    Gary Morris McBeath

    > for an unknown upgrade.< There's nothing unknown about it at all. The reviews and success/horror stores have been up for about a month now. Make backup disk images of your media and order your updates. bogiesan This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”

    Boogiesan,

    Thanks for your reply.

Perhaps I didn’t make my question very clear: I’m trying to find out if anyone has found any necessary changes the versions of OS-X, QT etc that will make this 5.1 version as robust as the set-up I’m now using for 5.0.4 (OS-X 10.4.4, QT 7.0.3, the same as recomended by Jerry Hoffman in his article); once I get it, I’m stuck with it: won’t have older versions to re-install if necessary.

Maybe there hasn’t been enough time for this to be determined.

    Thanks,

    Gary
