I’m trying to export two 15 minute sequences out of FCP to compressor for the purpose of providing a client with a quicktime file and an mpg 1 file that he can re-edit.

Is there a way to adjust the output settings to go 640X480? Right not I’m getting 320X240 and I can’t figure out how to change that.

    Thanks

MPEG1 in ?Compressor defaults to that size. AFAIK, it’s not editable. The MPEG1 standards are actually written in stone that way although some other compression systems (Cleaner or Sorenson, maybe?) might allow some adjustments to the image size.

Talk to your client carefully and sweetly. Anyone who goes out of their way to specify MPEG1 as a working format should already know about the image size specs.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
