I don’t own any of them but I’ve played with the free trial versions. Very cool if you need this kind of stuff.

You can limp into it with Shatter and Card Dance. Use a grayscale map to control the z axis. It’s pretty easy.

There are other such devices, maybe someone will post some links for you. However, 150 separate layers might not be possible with anyone’s AE tools.

If you end up doing this often (and billing your client for transcoding services) buy a cheap PC and load up Microsoft’s free Windows Media Encoder.

One of the problems of posting from an old G4 is that you can’t open it up and see the new fangled layout.

You can fit one in there but the connection seems to be different from the SATA (or whatever they are these days) so you’d need to run a weird cable from a card that you would also have to add.

You may have another issue with sequence markers. They don’t move with the underlying material.

Hope DRW’s suggestion helps. Please post back if you figure out something useful. I don’t think any of the many threads on sequence markers have ver come up with decent workflow suggestions.

I’ve heard good things about CatDV (see versiontracker.com) but have never used it myself. Since we are FCP users on Macintoshes, you’d have to tell us about this PC app of yours for us to have a clue what it did before we could suggest a similar product for the Mac.

This EFFECT FIALED TO RENDER red screen just showed up recently on my two intel FCS machines. We were using several Fx Plug filters up until, say, two or three weeks ago. one of my favorites is PRISM.

I have no idea what’s going on, sorry no one ever got back to you. Guess no one else has a clue, either. Spooky.

Colorama, hue cycle will produce your basic rainbowish elements. Use a simple displacement filter to matte the rainbow into the graphical elements.

Many years ago, we would have done this by shooting some video of a sheet of holographic wrapping paper and matting it into the graphics.
