Easiest solution is to acquire an oscilloscope and feed the x and y inputs from a pair of signal generators. Shoot it.
There has to be a free ‘scope emulator that runs in Flash.

Umm, no.
All you need is a layer with a motion path on it. You can create the path in many ways, easy to just draw it. It’s called a motion path because it’s the path your object will follow.
You could also create a null and move it around, setting keyframes and manipulating the Beziers. This path is the motion path. You might be able to coy the mask shape and paste it into the position parameter on the null.

You win, Bob, I have never seen that and, man, I’ve set up a million 2″ tapes.

The image on the back side is reversed, flipped, 180 degrees. Difficult to explain but you need to flip it before applying it to the back face. You can’t flip it at the layer level, it has to be precomped (or done externally and reimported) because Card Dance sees layers before transformations. Umm, usually.

Foam is way cool but probably not the tool of choice here. Neither CC Particle World nor Foam can transform a layer into bubbles but both create wonderfully realistic bubble particles.
Foam’s bubbles don’t really burst so much as simply disappear. Making a shape or layer disintegrate into particles or, in the case of bubbles, blobby pieces, is often an illusion or, at least, the change takes place behind a transition. You could use Card Dance that has your circle on the front face and lots of little bubbly things on the back face. The turn of the cards is completely controllable and you can have the cards rise using other, more complex, settings.
Think through your storyboard very carefully.

You must create a motion path from the mask. Might require retracing the shape again. Express or parent the null to the motion path and parent the camera to the null.
Wait a few hours and you will probably get more and better advice. The wonks are till waking up on the West Coast.bogiesan

You can try searching for “Infinite Zoom” and “Earth Zoom” it would be similar technique as those “zoom from outer space to your backyard” shots except horizontal. The major issue we deal with in lower budget versions is hiding transitions between the major effects shots. In the outer space scenes, a cloud, spacecraft, airplane or bird passing in front of the camera provides the cut to the next image sequence.
Good luck, hope you get better advice, just takes planning.

Good filmmaking and editing. Your previz must have been a ton of fun. I’m impressed with everything except the story. I needed a better reason to have watched your movie even if I was a grateful client. If there was a big joke or climax in the story, I missed it. Shooting the paintball gun wasn’t really the payoff, was it?
Excellent animation all the way around, great artwork. I bow. Wish I had that kind of time and commitment from management. You are lucky to have coworkers who understand the workflow well enough to provide you with art, storyboards, soundtrack.
My English minor is barking: “Twas” is a contraction and requires a leading apostrophe: ‘Twas

Rob, thanks for reminding us of this, been a common practice for many years in my shop.
Most Adobe products and most other NLEs (so I’ve been told) have a direct route (or a script) for quickly and effectively exporting and reimporting/replacing. It’s a feature we’ve been asking for in FCP for a long time.bogiesan

Over on apple.com we had a guy using MPEGStreamclip to do the conversion.
Oh, wait, he went the other way, DV to .dv.Nevermind.
