Love some feedback
Seasons Greetings!
For the last couple of years I have created a short animated video as part of the company holiday promotions. The company I work for sends out Christmas cards and in them is a website address that they can go to in order to watch the video and hopefully put a smile on their face.
The video is created entirely in After Effects and since you people are kind of my heroes when it comes to this program, I would love some feedback.

Good filmmaking and editing. Your previz must have been a ton of fun. I’m impressed with everything except the story. I needed a better reason to have watched your movie even if I was a grateful client. If there was a big joke or climax in the story, I missed it. Shooting the paintball gun wasn’t really the payoff, was it?
Excellent animation all the way around, great artwork. I bow. Wish I had that kind of time and commitment from management. You are lucky to have coworkers who understand the workflow well enough to provide you with art, storyboards, soundtrack.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the feedback. This was a mad cap rush so there was no previz… just make it and go. I am very blessed to work for a great firm that doesn’t take themselves too seriously. I will work harder on the story line for next year if I get to do another one. This one took quite a bit of time… more than even I thought.
By the way, I am a bit fan of yours so your bow to my extremely rudimentary work is very humbling.
