we see this issue about twice a week in the FCP and other Mac application forums. You have the free playback decoder called Flip4Mac. You must purchase the pro version of Flip4Mac to use the advanced output functions. the publisher of Flip pays Microsofot a lot of money to use the technology and you pay Flip. Or you purchase one of the bigger dedicated transcoders like Squeeze.
You can use the Animation codec to move large uncompressed files or standard DV. WMV would not be my choice for moving motion graphics around. AVI is merely a wrapper, like WMV or QT. There are few AVI codecs for the Mac.

The conceptual problem is telling the emitter’s spawn where the ground is. If the emitter is moving, that distance is different for every particle.bogiesan

You’d need to talk to AJA if you’re sure the artifact is coming in as a result of a-to-d conversion via the AJA.
The card should be totally isolated, audio wise, from the power supply but it might be picking up RF from any source in your shop. Other sources of audio crosstalk can come from improperly shielded monitors, display cards, bad FW card, Airport card, nearby Blackberry.First try going directly from the deck to the card bypassing the mixer not because the mixer might be bad but you want to eliminate some cables.

I was speaking in generalities but I wish to acknowledge and thank you for the contribution to the thread. You are very correct in relating the ease with which interesting objects and camera moves can be created relatively easily in Zax products.

I had not understood that Boris was a viable tool for you. This makes it simple if not direct. You want to build two separate movies that site next to each other and move in sync.
