First the basics:
. your computer?
. your operating system?
. your GPU?
. which version of Resolve are you using?
. in which page are you seeing that behavior?
Time to do a reset: go to the Workspace menu (from the bar menu) and select Reset UI Layout. Does it help?

March 5, 2021 at 5:17 am in reply to: Send to Render Cue greyed out after using Magic MaskMagic masked out the subject, and had intentions of sending that clip, as a black and white mask, over to the render cue, exporting, and then bringing that back into fusion to serve as an alpha channel to key out my desired subject. After all of that though, it won’t me export that clip.
How did you export that clip with the Magic Mask applied?
If you create an alpha output in the node editor for that clip, you will be able to export it with an alpha. It works in the official version 17. You can then re-import the clip in the Media pool as a Matte.
Regarding image-processing pipeline in Resolve, you may want to consult p. 1358 of the Ref. Manual which explains what is carry over from one Page to another, or not, in particular effects created in Fusion. You can pass your work directly from the Fusion page to the Color page using the Source Input in Color.

Two things I can think of:
. make sure you have all the Auto select track actives (Resolve Ref. Manual p584)
. if you need to delete gaps between your clips in your timeline, you can use the Edit > Delete Gaps command (Resolve Ref. Manual p592)

February 27, 2021 at 8:31 pm in reply to: pasted retimed clip attributes creates an edit problemHi Thomas,
I suggested transcoding only if you were not working with intra-frame codec… which apparently is not your case since you are dealing with ProRes files… therefore no need to transcode…
If you need more help on your issue, you need to tell us in details what you tried, and the specific steps you took so we have a better understanding of your particular situation…
Which DaVinci Resolve version are you running?

Yes it should not be an issue to sync your clips using one audio clips… I would use waveform matching if your scratch audio is good enough…
Check p337, Chapter 13, Syncing Audio and Video from the Resolve manual.

It depends what you need exactly, but they are solutions available. Here is a few:
. SetStream.io
. Streambox
. Frame.io

I feel your pain. I have been there in the past but not recently. They are so many areas that could go wrong, that you need to be thorough to check things out.
Also you did not specify what is your master timeline frame size and frame rate. 4K? HD?
Let me give you a list, even so you may certainly have already check some of them:
. I’d check your system config.
. how fast is your RAID and Nexis partitions (transfer rate in MB/s)?
. have you tried to move the Resolve database locally?
. what is your GPU setting? I would set to Metal
. how are you decoding the RED footage? I believe in 16, you can specify using your GPU.
. how do you process RED footage in camera RAW? full res? for the conform I would switch to half res or lower to see if it helps. Same for DNGs
. are you using any caching / optimizing media? which codec?
Good luck

February 19, 2021 at 4:33 pm in reply to: pasted retimed clip attributes creates an edit problemAs far as codec, you are good… no need to transcode… now have you tried on a shorter clip and duplicated the problem you are having?
Have you tried to use the Retime control to adjust the clip to your desire?
