Has anybody come up with a remote desktop sharing that works with color grades? Due to Covid clients clients are not coming into the studio to review grades. Is there any remote desktop app (Zoom, Apple Remote Desktop, GotoMeeting, Skype etc.) that you find better? Of course I need it to show subtle color changes. Even if I had to pause video for a higher quality stream. Any ideas?

It depends what you need exactly, but they are solutions available. Here is a few:

    . SetStream.io

    . Streambox

    . Frame.io

Unfortunately, any solution you find will still be dependant on both you and your clients monitors matching each other, and that is almost impossible.

The best remote colour session involves you sending a set of drives and a calibrated monitor to your client, and doing a remote grade. Other than that you are guessing when they say “the blacks look crushed” and you are looking at a screen thinking “there is no way these blacks are crushed”
