It’s calculating based on the duration of the digitized media NOT the in out point of the clip.
You can put the shot on V2 give yourself some handles,
EXPORT the in out of shot
IMPORT the shot and place in TIMELINEApply smoothcam to the shot (new clip, new media)
You might want to drag the media to the capture scratch drive and then reconnect it.

Hey Andre,
You can capture with SHEER CODEC it’s just not RT enabled. If it was it would be a prores killer. Far far superior image quality to Prores for sure.
Why not try a small sequence to see if it gets rid of the problem.

I have an idea. Try the SHEER video codec. SHHER is known for it’s very accurate color space conversion. Maybe you load up the SHEER codec and TRANSCODE to SHEER then go back and forth to and from AE.
It’s worth a try.

You need to send the audio out the FW port. Choose easy setup and NTSC DV, Then try to do the print to video again.

Another question, for you.
are you outputing the sequence at 4×3 or 16×9.
Of course this footage can be mixed.
IN A 4×3 sequence:
The 16×9 would have to be blown up to fix the frame if you do not want letter boxing,IN A 16×9 sequence:
The 4×3 would be blown up (cutting off the top and bottom)
I hope nobody gets gassed over this.

You can shoot HD for an SD finish but I hope you realize that this means you need to color correct for each different color space.
I would say that it might be smarter to shoot it all with an SDX-900 (rental maybe) and just stay in SD, capture it all in FCP with a DVCPRO deck (rental) and then output your final show to that deck.
OR
Shoot HDV (4:2:0 codec) edit in FCP.
Downconvert a center cut of the HDV to SD
Color Correct in SD (different color space)
Output to DVcam or DVCPRO
Either way you should shoot with the 4X3 markers ON so that your center crop is correct.
