Alas,
When will a pro editor be given this tool in FCP X. One of my biggest b=pet peeves is re-linking.
You can not ask FCP X to connect to footage that does not perfectly conform to what it “thinks” it should be.
We need human override on this.

I think it much easier in FCP X as you could just turn off CH altogether in the inspector window.

I thikn you have to consider anchoring the audio track to a shot in the primary storyline that is not going to be deleted. If you delete other shots the audio will stay connected to the media you originally attached t too.

I have been running it and the CUDA drivers have updated twice so far. No problems on this end.

I say go for the shortcut Z key and click and drag around the area you want to zoom in.
Option Z to zoom back out.

Just to repeat,
The frames were set to frame blending ON and retime 100% and you think that is what was causing the slowdown?
Maybe a selection or keyboard command batch changed them in some way

It’s good that you are asking this question as I have had some, not so good, experiences even when doing absolutely everything by the book.
I’m still not sure what a best practices for this is yet, as something always seems to be leftover on previous drive or there is stuff that just does not relink.
I work with R3D media and proxies and it seems that after moving, things end up kinda all over the place.
Even when following the step by step guides.
I would say move the EVENT files to the NEW destinations first and then move the PROJECT associated with the events second.

Hi there,
I’d like to help you out on this but the question is not clear to me. Are you suggesting that each individual speed ramp needs to be set to optical flow? If this is the case it is most likely because it generally takes a long time to analyze and render.
I’m not sure you can set an export present to do that in fcp x so old have I switch the speed ramps prior to final render.
