<p>I would say, connect the drive to another computer and repair it with Disk Warrior to rewrite the catalog file. It should then mount back on the upgraded computer. </p>
<p>I&#8217;ve seen this as well with Big Sur upgrades. </p>

<p>The other option is to use X2Pro and convert your FCP X XML to an AAF file for import into Logic, which in my experience has been a smoother pathway and gets you all of the audio rather than the bounced tracks. </p>

Although it is an extra step it may save you a lot of time in the long run.</p>
<p>1- Use a drag and drop utility to split the files. I would use this and it is free.</p>

You could put a power window on that area and track it and use patch replacer from open FX, blur and grading tools . If the subject or shot don&#8217;t move much you could easily have it solved.  If the interview lasts one hour, that is another story. </p>

FCP&#8217;s native tools or even an excellent plugin is perhaps a better option in 2020. FCPX xml works well roundtripping with Resolve as well, which is also an excellent choice. </p>

<p>that will reset every shot in the timeline that has any transform on it. </p>
<p>Or you could select the shots you want to reset and do the same thing. </p>

Check to modify your sequence settings so that they match the frame size and frame rate of the original media. </p>

After upgrading both I was unable to see .r3d footage in the viewer and none of the new proxy options worked. </p>
<p>I had to roll my machine back to Mojave and 10.4.8 in order to get things correct and I also had to recreate one library I had &#8220;upgraded&#8221; to work with 10.4.9.</p>

<p>I have also used WORX4X and it is great (as is there pro audio tool) </p>
<p>Seems that 10.4.9 has a whole new Under the hood media management that I will be testing in the coming weeks. </p>

If you want a more traditional looking &#8220;timeline&#8221; you can use ROLES and LANES to have things stay in specific places. IE: you could create ROLES called V1 V2 V3 but then media in each one of those lanes would have to be tagged with that ROLE. </p>
