I actually can’t change the background color of the viewer canvas. Don’t get me wrong this has nothing to do with alpha channel selection VS all. I try to control click on the viewer but cant’ access any color change option.

Are you supposed to be able to? I thought it was either black or checkerboard alpha.

As Jeff mentions, it’s only black, white, or checkerboard (transparent). This option is located in the preferences under the “editing” section.

It’s a decently inconvenient place to find and use it.

    Hi Jeremy,
It’s actually located in the preference menu under “playback” section.
Your shot was close enough to take me there.
    Thanks
