Thanks for the response. I’m using Media 100 I 8.2, with Lacie Firewire drives.
I turned down the quality a bit and it imported okay. I guess that particular scene
did have a lot of very fine detail in it, so I’ll have to keep that in mind before I hit the render button.

    Thanks

    Thanks For Getting Back Floh.
The problem was with the Network. I reconfigured and everything seems fine now.

    Thanks Again.

  • Hello ,
Once you have exported the clip with the audio into After Effects,
create a new composition and drop the clip onto the timeline.
Now, Control click on one of the columns. When you see the menu item that says columns select stretch. The default will be 100%. Click on that and set it to what ever speed you want.
Now just render and you should be done. Make sure you have the Audio turned on in
the output module in your render settings.

    Hope this helps

    Thanks for the valuable input.
I spoke to my boss and he says we can swing a dual 2.7 loaded for bear! 🙂

    Thanks for the reply Glenn.
I did a reboot of the computer after each failure, left the comp window closed, and just
had AE open while rendering. I assumed the memory was purged at reboot, so
I’ll try reducing the resolution as an experiment and see how that goes.
The project is finished now , I just had to do it in several chunks and babysit the
computer as it rendered (and stopped) ;^)

    Thanks

  • Hi,

I had similar problems with mpeg 2 a while back and had some success with Moonlight-Elcard mpeg2 Video decoder. It didn’t exactly look perfect, but it was acceptable for what I was trying to accomplish.
Unfortunatley this one is for PCs only.
