I pretty much use the same exact settings except my bit rates are higher. How did you acquire the footage? What types of files are you working with in your project, and what codecs & data rates are those files?
If you’re looking to decrease your render times, not much you can really do. You have to weigh the final render quality /vs/ render time. Personally, I always lean towards the quality side.

+100 on what Steve stated. The error message is pretty straightforward in that your BitDefender software is stopping Vegas Pro from running. If you’re loading a specific project, BitDefender might be ‘blocking’ one of the files in that project/bin/timeline.

Great find, Steve! I hope Sony expands some of the new features in ver. 13 to us Android users. Basically I’d love to see the new iPad feature expanded to Android tablet users.

Is your camera’s sensor a CMOS sensor? Except for the expensive cameras you usually have to pan slowly with modern lower-end CMOS equipped cameras. On my sub-$2000 Sony AVCHD camera I obtain below-quality video on fast moving subjects or quick pans.

You need to state what your final render type is as well as the render settings. Those videogame scenes contain tons of info and fast movement. If you are outputting for YouTube, chose the Mainconcept 1080 for Internet and crank up the settings for max and average bitrates, and enable two-pass render.
It’ll take a lot longer to render but will yield the best quality.

I would first download the latest Radeon drivers, even if you already have them installed. Save the executable but do not install yet.
Go into the Windows Device Manager, Hardware tab. Find your ATI video card (under Graphics Adapters usually), right-click and choose ‘uninstall’. Then reboot the computer.
Upon reboot, the system will say ‘Found New Hardware’. I usually cancel out of this screen and navigate to where I saved the latest video driver executable. When the driver install finishes, restart the system.
This will give you a clean driver install, in case another program tweaked the driver to your disadvantage.
Let us know if this makes VP13 more stable.

Ugh…..I’d agree with you, Will. Drives are probably fine. I wouldn’t bother with a defrag since it’s not going to help you resolve this. Sadly I’m not an expert with Vegas so I’m at a loss.
