Sorry it’s Cmd+Shift+ Tilde & it is an OS command. Should work in any program.

    Mark,

There is an undocumented keyboard shortcut that will cycle through all open windows in FCP. It may be an OS command, but it works in FCP. Cmd+Opt+Tilde.

Works on my system in FCP 6.02

Even people with the old Adaptec SCSI cards are able to use them with OSX 10.5. This is not an Apple problem, try reinstalling the Ciprico driver.

FWIW According to the new Compressor manual, you can burn H.264 HD onto a standard DVD5 disk that will give you 90 min. that will play on the newer HD DVD players.

Yes, but it’s 3.5 times the price if all he needs is an output device.

Try swapping the i gig from the 4th slot on A with the 512 on 3rd slot on B, then both sets should be balanced. Let us know how you make out.

Well, FCP can normally play it back on the fly, & will render it to 48k automatically after a specified idle time in timeline. However as you are are already having playback issues, ever more of an incentive to do a convert to 48k prior to importing.

Might be worth waiting for the Cinema Displays & iMacs with HDMI connectors that may be announced on the 9th.

The way I’m reading the tea leaves is that there wont be a FCP6 Studio until Han 08 at which time it will become the replacement for Final Cut Express. Of course if Apple does not extend the crossgrade offer to FCE users on Jan. 9, then things may play out somewhat differently.

My expectation is that the rumored Final Cut Extreme will appear instead at a professional price of lets say $4995 with a $1000 crossgrade discount for existing FCP users until Dec. 31 2007. After this date it would be a $99 upgrade to FCP Studio 2 (no manuals of course).
