Is your computer an i7? I recomment the Panasonic HDC-TM700. It makes AVCHD .mts files, also highly compressed but my i7 worked with then great. This camers can shoot 1080 60p and it’s the best looking video I’ve ever seen. It’s only $738.00 here.

It has 32 gig flash memory internal and can capture 2 hours and 40 min at 1080 60p. I believe it was voted Camcorder of year 2010.
Go to YouTube and watch some of the videos where they compare it to highend cameras.

I swear I did this before but I cant get it to work tonight. Instructions say set “Edit/Preferences/Player settings/Blackmagic but it’s not working for me now. If I figure it out, I’ll post it. Sorry Jim.

John’s right. Two keyframes is all you need, and want. You don’t want the tire to change the speed in which it rotates, and more than two keyframes can easily do that if your not carefull. The track motion has the rotate feature as well as pan and crop. John, is there any benefit rotating it in pan and crop instead of doing the rotate and moving acroos the screen all in the track motion window?

DV is DV but HDV from a JVC camera is 720p where Sony and panasonic are 1080i.I would look for a used camera in good shape. You can shoot video with it later where a deck is only that.

Vegas doesn’t work well with Xvid. I would try Streamclip,free, and convert it to a avi that Vegas likes.

The Vegas print to tape function is for exporting back to a DV or HDV camcorder via firewire. What you need as a way to play the video at the same res and framerate, high quality, in a format that your Beta deck records with. If that it SD, and you captured it as that with Media Express, Media Express will play it back through the specified output selected in your Blackmagic control panel. The Shuttle plays anything playing in Media Express out of all the outputs. You may need to select which output your BM card plays out of in your BM control panel.

I’ll give it a try. I have the Intensity Shuttle. I cannot use it as a Windows secondary desktop display, but Vegas does, as well as CS5 Premiere and After Effects. If you can render your video to a CPU friendly format where one of these three programs will play it back at full framerate, you can record the component out back into the Beta deck.
