Try setting your project settings/ audio to 5.1 and drop the video on the time line. you’ll se 3 stereo tracks with all 6 tracks from dolby surround. See if your front left and right are the same level.

I’ve never done that so I don’t know. People do something similar called Nesting, where you can add whole projects to the timeline of a new one. Search the help file for Nesting. I’m sure it’s easy.

Do you have a different HDMI monitor/TV to test it with? And a different HDMI cable? Media Express is only a capture and playback app. No editing.

I only have one Sony HVR-A1 tape based camera left. I just sent it out for repair again since they didn’t fix it right the first time. It’s AVCHD with an I7 for me from now on.

Try the Color balance effect. It lets you ajust the amount of red, green and blue. Platinum should have it.

I have the Shuttle and using Media Express, I can only play those supported formats through the Shuttle. Vegas, Premiere and After Effects can use the Intensity for viewing. I believe those programs with a 24 fps video on the timeline of that NLE set to a supported format will be viewed via the Intensity. If nobody can confirm this, I will test it when I next use my Shuttle.

Most DVDs have VOB files, “Video objects” and if Sonys Import DVD Camcorder Disc doesn’t give you these in mpeg format, I usually just copy the vob files to my hard drive and change the extention to .mpg and edit them in Vegas.

Seth, What kind of glasses work with a youtube 3d video? There are 3 main types that I know of. one where two projectors placed in front of polrizing filters 90 deg off from each other, need glasses with polarized lenses set to show each eye from the screen to your eyes, and the mainly new type that need shutter glasses that sync to your 3d tv via IR and 3d Anaglyph Using red and cyan glasses. THis would be the only type that youtube could play, as far as I know.
