  • Some Issues with Media Express

I’m using the older Intensity card and captured some video. During playback in Media Express onto my monitor/tv via the pass-through HDMI port the screen constantly flashes black and losing the video and audio signals repeatedly while playing the video. The video itself is fine on my computer monitor that is hooked through the vga card.

Secondly, does Media Express have the functionality to clip/split captured video files? I cannot seem to use the Mark In/Out function to save out portions of the clip.

Do you have a different HDMI monitor/TV to test it with? And a different HDMI cable? Media Express is only a capture and playback app. No editing.

I have other cables but no other monitors, however I think I figured out the issue. I think that the Intensity card always requires an HDMI signal from the source device even when playing back files on the computer.

I don’t think so. At least my Shuttle doesnt.

Maybe it’s an Intensity card thing? Using the same cables/monitor as long as the original source is on the problem is resolved.

Hind of strange, but if it works, then go with it.
