I believe Windows movie maker on XP will capture HDV. Danny

Was this some effect someone put on it? I don’t get how HD video could look like that. There are some video enhancers that can remove some noise, but youd have to render the seq to video first.

The audio starts glitching, says 0 frames dropped still, but the captured video is split into many pieces. Captures fine with OnLocation, which Id rather use anyway. But I didn’t have the problem with XP.

If the clips are still on the ext hard drive, you can re-link them. It’ sounds like the drive letter changed so Vegas is looking somewhere else for them. try right clicking on the off line video and replace with the file again. Danny

Has anyone captured from tape HDV with Vegas 9 and Windows 7 with good results? Not me.

Try the free utility called GSTOP to see anything you need about a video. Set you project and render to the same and it should look good. DannyDanny

I’m running Windows 7 32 bit with Vegas 9a. It’s alot faster with the preview but it sees my .m2t files as AVCHD but capturing from it with my HVRA1, it has problems, audio drops out and the video is cut into sever pieces?? I just use OnLocation to capture with. Danny

I believe you can also right click and get to it as well as effects for that event. Danny

You can import from camcorder, or drag the vob files from the DVD to the time line and save to disk, copying media with it, then render to WMV 3 mbs and it will look good and not take alot of space. then delete the original veg and saved vob files. Danny

Here’s a link for an arrow, with come event cropping to remove the white outside the blue and the key out the blue, keyframe to move it around. It’s free. Danny
