    Hello.
I am not at all sure what is going on with Sony Vegas right now, but all, spare about four clips, of my video clips(.avi) on the timeline say “Media Offline”, but the message asking me to locate it in another spot never came up, and, I didn’t rename of move any of the clips I’m using in this project.
The same error is also occuring on the .bak file and I’d really like to fix it because it’s a project that I was really proud of.

    My operating system is:
    Windows Vista Home Premium
    Intel Core 2 Duo CPU
    2038 MB
    32-Bit Operating System

    I’m using Sony Vegas 7.

And all of my clips were on an external harddrive, and when I tested the videos that the clips came from, they ran fine on both VLC Media Player and Windows Media player.

If the clips are still on the ext hard drive, you can re-link them. It’ sounds like the drive letter changed so Vegas is looking somewhere else for them. try right clicking on the off line video and replace with the file again. Danny

Happens to me all the time, but when I click on the timeline, it “reappears”. It was there all along. Never has caused me a problem, so I ignore it.

I tried just ignoring this as well and rendering the entire project, but it was just all black.

I tried replacing the media already but it still remains offline.
