    HDV Capture Problems

    I am trying to upload video from my new Canon HV40 in 24f cine mode using the HDV capture from sony vegas pro 8.

    Whenever i try to upload the scene detection detects every frame as a new scene. I have gone into preferences and unchecked the box that says “enable HDV scene detection” but this problem continues.

    Is there anyway i can fix this?

    and if not are there any good HDV uploading softwares that are either free or cheap?

    I believe Windows movie maker on XP will capture HDV. Danny

    will that work on Vista SP2?

    and what file type does it import as?
