The only way to burn HD DVDs from the Burn disc menu is if you have a bluray burner. If you only want them to be able to play back on a fairly fast computer and not on a stand alone Bluray player, try rendering to WMV, HD 8mbs 1080 30P setting and then burn that to a DVD, or CD if it fits. Most faster optical drives will play these back fine with Windows Media Player. Hope this helps, Danny Hays

Wait until you use it for a while, you may start saying, “now that would have been really hard to do in FCP” the help file can be very useful. I’ve read it several times over the years a little at a time, along with reading this forum and I couldn’t imagine using anything else for an NLE. Danny Hays

You don’t have any room to pan, can’t get what’s not there. Like John said, in this example you will need to zoom in some so you have some room on either side to pan from and too. Even just a little will allow for a little pan, better than a static shot IMHO. Hope this helps, Danny Hays

The threshold will change when the compressor compresses or not and the ratio and attack adjust how much it compresses. With gun shots, I would experiment with a small section with gun shots and adjust the threshold until you dont hear normal audio change, just the gunshots. try setting the ratio to 4:1 — 10:1, Hope this helps, Danny Hays

That camera is HD 1440 – 1080 pix aspect 1.;333
There is a project preset for HDV 1440 – 1080 and HD mpeg or WMV render presets that you can watch from your computer if you connect it to your HDTV via VGA or HDMI, otherwise you’ll need a blu ray burner to watch in in HD from a disk. Standard DVDs are only 720 – 480, still higher that the setting you chose. Hope this helps, Danny -
Vegas is reading the file differently for some reason. You can select both the audio and video in the time line, hit the “U” key to ungroup them and move the audio back in sink, the select both and hit the “G” key to group them again, then edit as usual. Hope this helps, Danny

Like DSE said, It depends on your server upload bandwith and how many people may be streaming it at the same time. I would try a few render presets and experiment. That’s why people use You Tube and such, They convert anything you send them to a format that streams well, like .flv and .wmv. Hope this helps, Danny
